Graham McTavish is a Scottish actor and voice actor. He began his career in theater and later moved on to screens and cinema. At the beginning of his career, he appeared in many British TV shows, such as RED DWARF and TAGGART.
Later, he appeared in many international TV shows, such as PRISON BREAK, LOST, and 24. In September 2013, Graham McTavish was cast as Dougal MacKenzie, the chief of Clan MacKenzie, in the period drama series OUTLANDER. In 2016, McTavish appeared repeatedly as William Munny (The Saint of Killers) in the television series PREACHER, which is based on the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. In 2019, he appeared repeatedly as Father Kinley in the fourth season of the television series LUCIFER, based on the character of Lucifer by Neil Gaiman and Mike Carey and their Sandman universe. In 2021, he joined the cast of the fantasy series THE WITCHER as Sigismund Dijkstra. He currently excels as Ser Harrold Westerling in the fantasy series HOUSE OF THE DRAGON.
Graham McTavish's film career also includes a considerable number of movies. For example, in 2003, he played a submarine captain in the movie LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE. A year later, he appeared in the movie KING ARTHUR. In 2008, he played alongside Sylvester Stallone in the movie RAMBO. In 2015, he returned to work with Stallone and appeared in the movie CREED, the seventh film in the Rocky series. Between 2012 and 2014, he played the dwarf Dwalin in Peter Jackson's THE HOBBIT trilogy. He also left his mark in the DC Comics superhero film world by playing King Atlan in the movie AQUAMAN.
Graham McTavish also has an extensive voice acting portfolio in animated TV shows, animated films, and video games. McTavish provided the voice of Titus and Vernon in the animated TV show TRANSFORMERS: ROBOTS IN DISGUISE. He also voiced Fergus McDuck, Uncle Scrooge's father in the TV series DUCKTALES. Currently, he voices the main character Dracula in the animated TV series CASTLEVANIA. For the action-adventure game UNCHARTED 2: AMONG THIEVES, he provided not only the voice but also the motion capture of the main antagonist Zoran Lazarević. The following year, he lent his voice to the main protagonist Dante Alighieri in DANTE'S INFERNO and Thundercracker in TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON. He returned to the Uncharted series as Charlie Cutter in the game UNCHARTED 3: DRAKE’S DECEPTION and UNCHARTED 4: A THIEF’S END.
