Richard Gibson is a British actor who was born in Uganda before it gained independence from the United Kingdom. Before becoming an actor, he was a choirboy at St. Paul's Cathedral. He studied at St. Paul's Cathedral School and later attended Radley College and the Central School of Speech and Drama.

In 1970, he made his film debut in the movie The Messenger. In 2004, he appeared in the TV drama Omagh. He also appeared in the series Treasure Island.

However, his biggest role remains that of the Gestapo officer Herr Otto Flick in the series 'ALLO 'ALLO! Due to the success of the series, live tours were created throughout the UK and even abroad, where actors performed on stage in front of audiences. Because of the ongoing popularity of 'Allo 'Allo!, he and his co-star Kim Hartman (Helga) created a fan club - www.flickandhelga.com.

In addition to acting, Gibson also works as a screenwriter, radio actor, and commentator.
