Pavel Zedníček is a Czech actor, comedian, and presenter. However, his colleagues and friends also nickname him "Čmaňa." He graduated from the Technical High School of Leather Industry in Zlín, specializing in Rubber Footwear. However, he did not want to pursue a career in shoemaking. Instead, from 1969 to 1973, he studied drama acting at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. During his studies at the Brno JAMU, he performed at the Theatre on a String in Brno.
He is a beloved theater, film, and television actor. His filmography includes dozens of film characters. Many of the films in which he played significant roles are highly popular and still appear on television screens. Among them are film series like CHOBOTNICE, BÁSNÍCI, and films such as HOLKA NA ZABITÍ, DOBŘÍ HOLUBI SE VRACEJÍ and others.
He has appeared in TV series such as LÉTAJÍCÍ ČESTMÍR, ARABELA SE VRACÍ ANEB RUMBURAK KRÁLEM ŘÍŠE POHÁDEK, MALÝ PITAVAL Z VELKÉHO MĚSTA, SANITKA, among others. He played the lead role in the series ČETNÍCI Z LUHAČOVIC. On television, he served as the host of the game show KUFR and the program PTÁKOVINY.
He also works as a voice actor, lending his voice to characters like Al Bundy from the sitcom Married... with Children or Frank Lambert from the family sitcom Step by Step.
