Comic-Con Prague General Business and Cancellation Conditions

Comic-Con Prague is run by Active Radio a.s., in cooperation with its No Limits team. This team has organised hundreds of events in the past. Comic-Con Prague s.r.o. is also run by the non-profit group SFK Avalon o.s., which put together events such as Festival fantazie, PragoFFest, and several other pop culture festivals.

Active Radio a.s. (Wenzigova 4, 12000 Praha 2, IČ 61058297) is responsible for the sale of tickets through the server Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster handles everything around tickets and its rules and conditions apply to ticket sales.

A. General Information

These General Business and Cancellation Conditions (hereafter referred to as Business Conditions) determine the sale of tickets for actual Comic-Con Prague, which will take place through Ticketmaster Česká republika, a.s. (hereafter referred to Ticketmaster) in accordance with Business conditions and advertising rules . By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these Business Conditions and commit to adhere to them.

Through the sale of tickets for Comic-Con Prague through Ticketmaster, a legal relationship forms between you as the customer who has purchased the ticket, and Active Radio , as the company who is selling the ticket.

As the event organiser, Active Radio reserves the right to change guest speakers, the event program, the dates of the event, and the venue. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge this right. Tickets will remain valid if one of these situations was to occur, and you cannot use these scenarios as excuses for a refund.

Active Radio is in no way responsible for the validity and authenticity of tickets that have been purchased outside of the retail server Ticketmaster. Keep your purchased tickets safe. Never exhibit them or show them around. By publicly showing your tickets off, you risk others copying the bar code and ticket number, which could affect your entry to Comic-Con Prague.

B. Ticket Sale

Tickets are sold in traditional paper form at the Ticketmaster branches, or in electronic form. E-tickets will either be sent to guests via email, or can be downloaded and/or printed using a public internet connection or through a mobile app (eTicket). Otherwise, tickets can also be purchased as Collector’s Tickets and VIP Tickets, both of these come as plastic cards. This version is mailed to the customer in two waves - before Christmas and before the event. Deadline dates for ordering are announced on the Comic-Con Prague website.
Prices of individual tickets are published on the Comic-Con Prague website. These are set by Ticketmaster. Active Radio reserves the right to change the prices.

The type and amount of tickets are set by the organiser, Active Radiom in accordance with the capacity arrangements set by O₂ universum. We will not be selling more tickets than this amount.

The ticket price includes an entry fee, VAT, the Prague 9 council tax, and a servis and transaction charge set by Ticketmaster. If you require us to send you your tickets to a designated address, Ticketmaster will charge you the cost of transport (postage fee). We do not issue tickets to collect.

For reasons stated in clause § 1837, letter j) of Czech Civil Code, you cannot leave the purchase of a ticket under § 1829 of Czech Civil Code (i.e. you cannot terminate the agreement in a 14-day time period without a valid reason. This is given as a general rule when making other purchases on the internet), due to the fact that in this case, the contract purtains to leisure time and the activity (entry to actual Comic-Con Prague, which is enabled by the ticket) is guaranteed on a certain date or time. The law does not give customers the right to terminate the contract in the aforementioned way.

Comic-Con Prague tickets are not meant to be sold on or duplicated. Active Radio sells tickets to people who are interested in attending Comic-Con Prague. It does not wish for these tickets to be re-sold. We would therefore like to warn guests that measures could be taken to prevent the re-selling and/or duplication of tickets.

Practical Conditions and Information:

Purchased tickets are transferrable to other individuals, but with the risk that this could lead to ticket fraud (using the bar code) by the original ticket holder. The organiser and Ticketmaster do not assume any responsibility in the event that this occurs.

Your ticket grants you entry access to all activities where there is space. The capacity of the lecture halls will be set by the organiser. Your ticket is not a voucher for photos with guests or autographs.

Animals are not permitted at Comic-Con Prague, except guide dogs.

Children who are younger than 9 get half price entry. You must provide proof of the child’s age at the designated entrance for families with children up to 9 years old. Prams are not permitted.

The minimal age for attendance without a companion is 15 years old. Accompanying individuals are responsible for the care of children younger than 15 years old.

Individuals with a disability also pay half price entry. Your discount will be considered once you send a copy of your disabled pass to ticket@ticketmaster.cz, Ticketmaster Customer Services.

Tickets will be scanned upon entry to Comic-Con Prague. You can scan the QR code only once. After the scan, your ticket for the day becomes void. It cannot be used again.

For re-entry into the venue on a given day (2 hours before the end of the daily program, at the latest), you must re-activate the ticket by placing it on the exit terminal during your exit from the venue. If you do not activate your ticket (or leave the venue less than 2 hours before the end of the daily program), you will not be able to return to the venue on that given day. You can only return on the next day with a valid ticket for that day. Exit Y serves as the main exit from the building. You can re-enter the venue with an activated ticket through the main entrance to the building.

Participants are required to have their ticket on them at all times, should they have to undertake a check from the organiser or O₂ universum employee.

C. Cancellation conditions

In the event that your tickets are not delivered, the following conditions apply Business Conditions and Advertising policy at Ticketmaster Česká republika a.s.

You cannot ask for a refund for a Comic-Con Prague ticket that was purchased outside of the Ticketmaster website.

Purchased tickets are not exchangeable. In the event that your ticket is damaged, destroyed, lost, or stolen, we will not be able to give you another substitute ticket.
The entry fee, or any other fee, that you purchase in relation to Comic-Con Prague tickets, cannot be refunded if it does not meet the criteria as stated below.

In the event that a guest at Comic-Con Prague cancels, or there is a change in the program, location, and date of the event, you are not eligible for a refund for your ticket purchase.

In the event that guests do not adhere to the rules for entry into O₂ universum, we are not cannot grant a refund for the purchase of tickets.

In case of non-compliance with the conditions set by the government for admission to cultural events, there is no right to a refund for the purchase of tickets.
Admission fees are non-refundable due to travel restrictions or other restrictions imposed by the governments of both countries.

We will inform you of any change to the event location or date for Comic-Con Prague. Your purchased tickets will be valid even at the new location and/or date.

In the event that Comic-Con Prague is cancelled, we will inform you as soon as possible. In this case, the entry fee will be refunded after the time necessary for administration.

Communication with guests will take place through the Comic-Con Prague Facebook page, through this website and using the contact details that we acquire through the sale od tickets (especially email addresses). We are not responsible for any potential delays in communication regarding the cancellation of the event.

If Comic-Con Prague were to be cancelled, Active Radio will refund guests‘ entry fees through Ticketmaster, in accordance with its Refund scheme, as outlined in the Ticketmaster Česká republika a.s. Business Conditions and Advertising Policy

D. Closing remarks

If any of these Business Conditions become void, all of the other conditions remain valid.

In the event that there is a consumer dispute between Active Radio a.s. and you, as a consumer, and it relates to your purchase of tickets for Comic-Con (as organised by Active Radio a.s.), or relating to this event in any other way, you can either deal with this dispute at the event or seek a settlement out of court. You can apply for an out-of-court settlement at the Czech Trade Inspection, whose address is as follows: Ústřední inspektorát – oddělení ADR, Štěpánská 15, 120 00 Praha 2, e-mail: adr@coi.cz, web: http://adr.coi.cz . You can also the European Commission’s online platform here: http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/ . The same applies in the event of a dispute between yourself and Ticketmaster.

Active Radio a.s. reserves the right to update its Business Conditions.
